How do you open a D3D graphic file? I have a picture on an old Corel Draw 7 disc I want to use. It was a free 3D model that was a part of 7 when it was new. I've downloaded ULead Cool 3D Production and it keeps telling me the file can't be opened. Corel Draw X3 says the same thing. What program do I have to have to view this file??? I tested DirectX on my computer and it passed all the tests with flying colors. Is there a conversion program somewhere that will let me convert a D3D file to a 3DS file? I don't need to edit it, I just need for it to show up on my screen. Many thanks. I tried giving it a png extension, but I just got the following error: "Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file." It says it is a 3D model. I just need to find a program old enough to understand it. I tried it in Corel X3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended. Neither works. A bunch of movie questions? Ok, so, me and my friend in academy were assigned to do a english project involving acting. Well, im a nerd and i just had downloaded a program to create realistic lightsaber effects. We made like the most awesome movie ever created and everyone loved it. So..... we decided to start making more movies for fun in our pass-time. First thing i need to know is if anyone knows a free greenscreen program on the web. Dont tell me WAX because i allready have it, but for some reason the sound disapears when i use it? i import it and it slips the movie into 2 tracks, a video track and audio and i cant get the audio to play. Secondly, we need some replica guns, we want to do a matrix movie and a movie i wrote involving the loch ness monster and a government plot but i cant find a way to get cheap replica guns. A free World creating graphics program.? Okay, I'm going to try and explain this as best as I can. A while ago I came across a free software program (I think Microsoft makes it) that people could download and use to create entire worlds! Sattelite channels had a serious influence on people, they wear very fashionable clothes.Maybe it's a kind of immitation, but still it's got an unique Iranian style.You'll see lots of beauty qeens on the streets that are just like models advertising fashionable clothes! Most part of their hair is out and they wear a lot of make up, also wearing scarves is a part of our culture.Iran is one of the super-consumers of cosmics (which is bad for our economy)! People do whatever they wish to and some of the things they do, don't fit our culture at all, however it's normal in Iran.You'll be surprised seeing the difference between what you imagined before and how the real Iran is! Let's clarify some political issues as well: Some of the Americans I chatted with, said in the U.S it's said that president Ahmadinejad hates the U.S and Israel and wants to nuke them!! The media are good at putting comments.It's easy to show a video or an image of our president or leader on the T.V screen or on the internet and say he says this, he says that.....I really don't get the point why our politicians defame themselves by talking about things that have got nothing to do with us.For example does verbal defence of Palestinians cause them to have a better life?The thing is that they occasionally make some statements that the media would misuse it agaisnt Iran.For example they pick up some specific phrases of a long speech (without reffering to the main points and reasons for that speech) and put so many bad comments on that.No sane person would take it for granted. First of all, Iranians don't hate anyone.If our government complains about some injustice going on in the world, it's not bad.Is it? (Although what we want them is to not to get us into trouble by talking about things that are none of our concern.) Computer Freezing while playing WoW? For the last couple of weeks I've been having a heck of a time doing battlegrounds, specifically Warsong Gultch. Everytime I cross the playfield and go inside the horde base, regardeless of entry point, my screen freezes. I still hear sound as if the match is continuing, and can alt-tab out of the game and use other programs, but when I try to go back into WoW the screen is still frozen. I've noticed this issue in every BG available. Whether entering the horde base in WSG, facing the Stables flag in AB, facing Mage Tower in Eye of the storm, or guarding one of the two bunkers in AV, I get the same freezing issue. What's wierd is that it's only these areas of the BGs that give me problems. I can go everywhere else in the BGs besides those locations and things are fine. There have been two error messages I've recieved when trying to deal with this issue: 1.) "VPU recover was unable to fully recover from a hardware deadlock and has switched to software rendering." 2.) "Failed to find a suitable display driver." I've read multiple suggestions of how to fix this issue. I've downloaded the latest drivers for my graphics card, tried slowing my hardware acceloration (which gives me even more graphical issues), scanned my computer for viruses, Defragged my hard-drive, Cleaned out cookies and temp. files, deleted my Interface/Cashe folders in my WoW folder, disabling VPU Recover in my ATI Radeon control center, cleaning out my system with air pressure, and even used the World of Warcraft- Repair tool which found no issues. I'll include my DxDiag for futher information on my system. If anyone else is having these same issues or has any further advice for me that I haven't already tried above, please follow-up with me on this thread. Tomorrow I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game but since the repair tool didn't find any corrupt files I doubt this will fix the issue.
