I designed our dream house, what is the next step? I've spent the past 3 years designing our dream house. I have plans laid out to scale, but not blueprint style. I also have a 3D model in Google Sketchup. My question is, what is the next step...do I hire an architect to put everything in blueprint form, or do I need an engineer to tell me if the design will work the way it is or be modified for structural reasons? Copyright issues on a house that no longer exists? Ok, here's the deal. My grandmother used to own a big house that got burned to the ground. Now, I want to make a 3D model of this house using blueprints, however ; my family won't allow me access to these prints because they think it will affect copyright even though the building no longer exists and the owner is "incapable" of helping me. Who should I conduct business with? I do 3D models of homes and interiors, I got a website set up, which is down at this time, but should be up sometime later. I also have some business cards printed which look very neat. I' am not starting a full blown business yet, just starting off small as a free lance. Tommarow I' am going to be looking for clients, here in my city after looking into a yellow book I dont see one company who does 3D modelings. Now bassicly what I do is take blue prints eather final or scetch, but with all the dimensions on them, then based on those dimensions I make a 3D model or that house, then take a picture of the existing house and using photoshop bassicly replace the 3D model with the existing one, do some touch up and youve got some real looking image. My problem is, who should I go to an architect, or a general contractor, since those pictures that I will print for them are going to be for customers to give them a better view of their new hose and how it will look like when its done.
how do you start your own Business from scratch? Right now Iam working on a porfolio of my 3D modeling work in architecual field, I model houses from blueprints to show what it would look like after the house is built. Using a program called lightwave, and 3D studio max, Iam able to create real looking 3D visualizations. I could say its my first step to start my own buisnes. How do you do that, first Iam gona be on my own, going to other small firms that do construction and bassicly sell them my work of their projects so they can provide their customers images of what their new home will look like. Start of with prices way below the competition, and way below of what they would pay their hourly 3D modeler if they got one. As Iam working alone Iam building reputation, connections, and bridges. Once Ive established a good reputation and Iam solid in what I do, meaning stable I can expand. I know many people, not friends, people that I know who hate what they do for a living, and i know for a fact would love the oppertunity to work with me. Bassicly gather up a few guys/girls and let them know whats up, teach them how to model, or at least how to create objects, so we can work on projects as a team, that way we can get more of them done. Once I have my team, we can go down to the city and get a buissnes license, create buissnes cards and ads. Now that I got my buissnes going, and I have a group of trusty people we can start on bigger projects, such as comercial, industrial, and even other fields besides architecture, automotive, medical, and much much more. Bassicly get to the point where bigger compnyes, coperations, call us. Once we have a solid base here in U.S we can start with europe, especially Russia, I speak fluient Russian, and they are in the middle of buiding many houses, apartments, and hotels. Pretty much this is what iam trying to do, i just need some edvice and some points that i missed.

HOw can the average 3D hobbiest, using Vue 5 Infinite, create realistic renders? Average meaning i'm not good at modeling, don't even have modeler now.. Have Mac G5 1.8Gzh 2GB RAM single processor, don't have any otther computers to help in Rendering network...so my renders if i make em full quality will last a long time. But anyways, i've made a couple of pictures that look more like basic COMPUTER graphics and not realistic so how is it Other people can make things that look real? I recently made a house.. it looks good,, however when i render textures and everything seems like cheap computer graphics.. on the other hand, using the same program other people's work i've seen in galleries, or in e-onsoftware's website, look realistic . What company should i go to for this type of project? I have a great new idea/invention. Iam not gona tell you what it is, but its a hi tech home improvement idea/invention. I can asure you that this has never been made before or thought of. So the job i am at now, my boss wants me to draw 3d models of our homes for clients. he wants photo-realistic pictures and walk-throughs. So he decided to buy the most expensive program, 3DS Max, and send me to NYC for 3 days to take a course to leanr to use it. the class didnt teach me much. All we did was the basicsof the program. I asked about how I would draw a house but the instructor wouldnt really go into detail with us. he said i could take a 2d model and extend it. but thats it. i dont know what to do after that. currently i use autodesk 2007 and do all my work in 2d. i dont know how to use autodesk for 3d. i tried looking online for tutorials for modelling a house but they all show you how to make an ugly box. Can someone please help me out? Give me a good tutorial site, tell me what i need to do ANYTHING i need help. my boss on me about this so ide appeciate any help! thanks I AM NOT ASKING FOR WHAT PROGRAM I NEED. We have already invested over $4000 in 3ds max. I need help with this program.
Do you think that being ugly can be a good thing??? I know it sounds crazy but for me I would say yes ^__^ . I have always felt ugly, unwanted and stepped over. It was like no matter what I do I would feel less in comparison with other cool and handsome guys weather at school or college. until I realized that me being ugly actually gives me a constant motivation to work on myself and become the best and the most successful person that I can ever be. yes, I do spend lots of time in my house but I use it well, for ex. studying more hours, study investing and busieness, drawing and modeling in 3d max, finding a new hobby .....and I won't attract girls for the wrong reasons :) what do you guys think?
