Why my Philips TV has no color? Model: Philips 51PW9303. I replaced two convergence chips the resistors were all fine. This took care of the 3D look. I also replaced the coolant in the blue and green although it was the blue which was badly contaminated. The picture is now clearer than before but I am unable to get color. I can see vibrant colors when I pull up the TV's menu. I can see the colors in the convergence menu as well but no color in the picture. The color controls only make the picture brighter or darker. It is sepia in color not black and white. What could this be?

Cannot play 7.1 DTS through my Philips Optical In? I just got a new LG 3D 55" TV. I have a $200 surround sound system by Philips. I have the PS3 hooked up to the TV with HDMI. I have the Surround sound hooked up from Optical out on the TV to Optical in on Philips. I purchased my first 3D Blu-Ray disc, the Lion King. Set everything up for 3D, everyone sat down with our glasses and no sound through the surround sound. PS3 sounds have no problem but the 7.1 DTS from the disc won't come through. I thought the Optical line could handle this. Is my older surround sound incapable of decoding 7.1 DTS into 5.1? To get sound out I had to take the analog audio cables from the PS3 and put it into Audio In on the TV. Then it played through the Philips and there seem to be 5.1 sound in the rear speakers. Thanks for any help.

Video games feel different on new TV? I really don't know how to ask this question, but for as long as I can remember I've played video games on a 24-27 inch RCA TV set that my family had in the living room, probably since the late 90's. I would have my PS3 video/audio cables hooked up to a VCR, and Call of Duty is all I played. Last November, when Black Ops came out, we still had this RCA TV. I would play Black Ops just fine, and actually do well, just like I would when playing MW2. Come closer to Christmas, we finally got a brand-new 40 inch, Samsung, LCD TV. It's not 3D or anything too fancy. It's a basic HDTV, 1080P television set. Ever since getting this new TV, my COD abilities have slipped tremendously. A major example: When playing on my old TV, I'd easily have 25-30 kills, and maybe 5-8 deaths. Now, when I play, it's the exact opposite. Maybe 10-15 kills, and like double the amount in deaths. I can't exactly put my finger on what the problem is. It seems as if my player on the screen cannot move correctly, and it seems that other players can always shoot at me faster than I can shoot at them. I now use a VIZIO HDMI cable, and I have the TV set to game mode. I even brought my system upstairs to my bedroom TV (which is a smaller, flat screen Philips), hooked it up with the red, white, and yellow cables, played campaign mode and it felt just fine. It felt like it used to, on my old TV. Do the HDMI cables have anything to do with this? Is it the TV? What else could I try, or is it a matter of getting used to?
I am considering on purchasing a TV. I need help? I am thinking about purchasing a TV. I am a serious videogamer and I enjoy watching Hi-Def movies. My spending limit is $1,500. I am also wanting to hook my Mac Book up to the TV but I am not sure on how to do that. I am looking between a 42 and a 47 inch for size. Because of the possibility of the image being burned into the screen, I am ruling plasma out of the question. Tv's that I am considering... Could Lord Alan Sugar do it all again today starting off on a shoe string? Anyone that has read the history of Amstrad will comprehend the genius of the man behind Amstrad’s meteoric rise and his rags to riches story. Having thoroughly enjoyed Alan Sugar's autobiography "What you see is what you get", it is hard not to be in awe and be inspired by his story, salesmanship, persistence, understanding of failure and the other simple business practices he employed to obtain success in any of his business ventures. However, being a young businessperson myself in this tough economic climate, one has to ask could a young Alan Sugar starting off today be able to become such a success? First and foremost, nearly all sectors today are dominated by enormous corporations, and it is virtually impossible to get a foothold in any of them unless you have substantial capital behind you, not to mention the industry expertise that would also be required. I would love to see how an entrepreneur of previous generations including Lord Sugar would fare in the business world today starting with a shoe-string budget, no reputation and no contacts. Whilst Lord Sugar was the vanguard of early consumer electronics, in my humble opinion, I believe Lord Sugar would find it very difficult to achieve the riches and success in today’s business climate like he did the 70s,80s,90s,00s. For a start I think it is fair to see given the advancement in technology a new Amstrad could not compete in the consumer electronics industry today would not be making the next ipad, 3d TV etc because of the expertise, research and development, competition and tight margins and ultimately investment required to make these consumer products. Even Lord Sugar admits himself a lot of Amstrad’s consumer products contained simple components such as transistors, pcbs etc and Amstrad found it tough to compete as the other companies advanced through R & D in the late 80s. I think it is fair to say that it is inconceivable that a 2011 startup Amstrad could compete with the likes of Apple, Microsoft, Philips etc given the aforementioned reasons (especially given the fact that in the 80s Amstrad controlled over 30% of the European PC market and they struggled to keep up then). Does anyone disagree with this point? If so please provide reasoning? Furthermore, if an up and coming Alan Sugar could not compete in the consumer electronic industry today, what industry could he make his fortune in today (given the fact that most industries are already saturated with massive conglomerates)? I know Lord Sugar has other business interests today but these business ventures are a direct consequence of the success of the Amstrad consumer electronics business. If you are reading BBC, I would love to see a tv show whereby these entrepreneurs e.g. Richard Branson, Alan Sugar, Peter Jones etc setup up a new company in any industry of their choice and were given 10,000 GBP and a year to make the company at least 1,000,000 GBP net profit. The stipulations would be that the entrepreneur's new company could have no brand association with any of the entrepreneur current business interests (it can be an industry they are currently involved in, but every cost, contact, investment and sale would have to be accounted for) and the entrepreneur would have to remain anonymous or use an alias name. Furthermore, they could not use any of their current business contacts and money, they have to do it all from scratch. The results would be highly interesting and it would be a fantastic watch. Would anyone else like to see the programme "From Entrepreneur to Fledgling Startup"? It is known that BSKYB now owns Amstrad entirely, but for the purpose of this question, it is proposed that an up and coming Alan Sugar would use the Amstrad name.

sims 2 compatibility problems with vista!? right, to begin with i have an acer aspire 5920 with the highest power. 3GB and 250MB. and the graphics card is good too. it is a vista however we were told that this would be no problem playing the sims 2 on. right, i have installed the first sims 2 game, and as i went to play it said it had compatibility issues, and that i was to download the upgrade patches from the sims 2 website which is what i did. i went to do all the other stuff like go onto properties and run this programme in compatibility mode with the xp pack 2 or something like that and apply. done all that and run as administrator. - still nothing. now, i go to play the game and i can get onto the neighbourhoods just fine. the problem is, i can't get onto any of the families that are pre-made or nothing. there is no custom content whatsoever and i've used no cheats or hacks so far. so can anyone tell me what it is that isn't letting me play on the actual family lots? i can't even get onto empty lots or create a family, - it's all just an endless blue loading screen for everything once i'm in the neighbourhood. ahhhhhh help me please! i spent enough money on this laptop just so i could play the blimmin game and i still cant! ha. so much help would be veryyy appreciated. thankyou!! x THESE ARE THE OFFICIAL SPECS OF MY LAPTOP!
