What exactly is a 3D sound thingie? I was ordering a USB octopus and a printer cable on amazon, and I came across a 3D sound adapter. I figured since it was only like 75 cents, I would pick one up. I know what 3D is, but this thing would go into a USB port, and then you put in the 3.5 cord, and plug it into my iHome, and then the sound will be 3D?

How can I make the sound for 3D games improve when my sound card is at its best? I'm using Window's Vista. I tried to update the driver for my sound card or whatever, but it said nothing was wrong with it and that it was at it's best. The sound quality is great, but when I play 3D games the music slows and sounds broken. 3D games also play a lot slower than they're supposed to as well, movement in games is never smooth. Is it taking up too much memory or something? I hope someone has some USEFUL or realistic advice. :D

I'd like to make a "scene" where I illustrate the 3D effect of sound. this means that the listener will hear sound coming from different corners and he'll be able to identify the source of each sound. I have no technical problems with that. but the problem is that I don't know what the scene will be. should it be something in nature with water and birds sounds, or maybe film myslef (and my partner) and make a special montage, or or or...... Am I getting full surround sound? I have a speaker set (5.1), but it doesnt say Dolby anywhere on the speakers Does this mean it doesnt have a dolby decoder? It has 6 audio jacks in the back for connecting up to a DVD player, but i dont have a DVD player with 6 jacks, but I have PS2, gamecube, VCR, and DVD player connected to the speakers via a 4 way scart lead.
