Autocad 3d rendering help needed?

I have my 3d model in autocad and now need to render it (glass, steel, gras, trees...) and place it on a pic (jpeg). How do I do that??!!!!

  1. Dunno sorry, strictly 2D. But whenever I need AutoCAD stuff, this usually helps.... http://www.ellenfinkelstein.com/AutoCAD_tips.html
  2. i suggest that you use Autodesk Viz, its a rendering tool from the makers of Autocad...but i heard that 3ds Max can also render .dwg files..well not so sure..better find out..^_^
  3. cad has a "capture to bitmap" command, which you could then open + save as a jpg. also, a 3rd party program like "fraps" could be used. happy drafting!
  4. look into adding materials to your model in autocad. go under the view menu then render . use the options in that menu like light, mapping and matrials to create your render, render to viewport to check it untill you get it the way you want, using the photoreal option in the render dialog. then you can change the destination for the render to file, there are many options for that to. make sure to look in the help files, all the info is there.
  5. 1_If you you use (before) AutoCAD 2007 make ready lights and material and the back ground type"render" to open the render page choose "raytrace" and click render if you rendered into drawing area type "saveimg" to save your render in jpg 2_If you use AutoCAD 2007 first use set the featuring of the render then type "render"
