Which 3D modelling software is the best for Mechanical Design?

Is it AutoCAD, or SolidWorks, or Pro/E, etc.? Specifically, which is better to model cars? Thank you.

1. For Car 3D modeling I recommend Rhino...
2. AutoCAD is the best for 2D draughting. Solidworks is a good entry level 3D CAD package. Pro/E is a high-end 3D CAD package which is better at complex surfacing & handling large assemblies. Catia is another high-end 3D CAD package, which more widely used in the Automotive industry.
