autocad 2009 specs for computers, whats the signifiance of a processor requirment?

I have a laptop that runs well. 1.83 intel core duo 256mb nvida gforce go graphics card. I wanted to know if the 3d modeling requirment of a 2.0 ghz processor would be significant since I am unable to upgrade my processor. I have checked the specs listing and I have more then the required in every field except the processor any help would be awesome since I dont want to buy a new computer because of this the program should work as i exceed the basic requirements, its just the 3d modeling that my specs are not good enough for
