Does any one know how to make a 3D model from CAD program?

are there other alternative method to rapid prototyping

1. For rapid prototyping...I would highly recommend Autodesk Inventor...it's really great..since all the shape and entities are modifiable, if you change your mind.
2. You are asking for real parts I think... I don't think you are asking for software. You seem to already have that, right? Otherwise, forget Autodesk and Inventor and see http://www.caddit.net/cad-cam-software/t-flex.php. Now, for part making you have a choice between traditional or rapid prototyping. Otherwise, there is production manufacturing. But Rapid Prototyping includes a lot more options now than 3D Systems Stereolithography. Companies like Roland actually offer a desktop mini-mill that could qualify as a limited rapid prototyping machine. Do your research. And don't forget age old traditional household prototyping methods like vacuum forming.
