My 3D graphics on my computer display weird lines coming out of the models. what do you think went wrong?

I recently had a new motherboard installed (the old one got fried). now, all the 3D models in my games have these weird lines shooting out of the models (kinda like sun rays). it doesn't affect my games in any other way, but it's really unsightly. what could be the problem.

1. I think you have Artifacts in you video card. This means the memory is having trouble clearing and its causing problems.
2. ya i had the same problem with my old video card. ur video card is screwed up man.
3. Did you do a complete install of windows after installing the new motherboard? I like to do a fresh install when doing very extensive work inside the PC box. It is way more easy than going in and deleting old drivers and installing new ones. You will have to install everything from video card drivers all the way to sound card drivers.
