Easy Cad Software?

I am looking for a CAD software which is really easy to use as i am new to Cad and need to make a 3d model which is quite complex. It needs to be easy to use, with good views so you can see what ur doing and it needs to be able to save/export into any one of these formats: DXF, IGES, STL, 3DS . It can be either Freeware or Shareware with trial. The download should not be bigger than 150mb 'cause we have TalkTalk and its slow. Have U any surgestions for software????????????????????? Thanks for all of ur answers.

  1. Milkshape is a great one
  2. Sorry for this cold shower: Unfortunately, there are NONE... (easy and cheap that is!) If you want a 3D model, and typical 3D formats (DXF and 3DS), you must go for a 3D software of quality. There are only two: AutoCAD and Autodesk 3DS Max 8. AutoCAD is perfect for precision 3D designs, but the rendering is not so good. 3DS Max is fantastic for rendering, but very hard to design precise objects. There are others, cheaper but much less efficient. NONE of them is "easy" to use and it takes years to learn them (20 years with AutoCAD and I am still discovering things!). Remain the prices: at 7500 us$ for AutoCAD... it puts a limit. If you are a student in university or technical school, you can get a "teacher's copy" for nearly free (I paid £400 in the mid-eighties and got updates for free, now on 2007 version). You can also get trial downloads (work for 30 days), then do what you should "not" do. Finally, the size: any "good" CAD software will be well over 500mB... Google "3D CAD software download free". You may get lucky! Visit www.skytargets.com: there are designs in both and explanations on how it is made. It also shows the relative complexity of these programs (and their possibilities) Good luck
  3. go on to google click more and scroll down looking for google sketchup this programme is very easy to use there is a intorduction course and with a couple of days playing around you get the hang of it very quickly and there are loads of renders to choose from and its free you can save it easyly and export different views of the 3d building as jpegs to be used in other programmes give it a go its your cheapest and quickest answer
