Other than google sketch-up, what are really good software for making 3d models?

Any programs that can make 3D models like google sketch-up, i want another one because it is getting annoying and not enough options.

1. It really depends on what kind of 3D Models you are talking about. There's 3D Studio MAX. A really good one for animation then theres also MAYA. And further still for NURBS Rendering there is Rhinocerous 3.0
2. If you only want good 3D models and don't care how you make them, there is a way of converting photos to 3D models if your photos has been taken in a special way. I found it on www.photo-to-3d.com If you have a digital camera, this might be an option.
