The anime movie they showed on mtv that was in 3d where a kid took a serum and would get supernatural powers?

i think as he took more of this serum or drug he would become more powerful yet it would also kill him more and more and he would bleed from the nose. The drug was taken through neddles. The kid was a teen boy.
