3D - 2

Where can I find 3D models of ancient Babylon and Nineveh on the web?

I am looking for images or models of the walls of ancient Babylon and ancient Nineveh. I'd read speculation that the cities had a circumference of 36 miles, with walls 80 feet thick.

  1. Looks like your best bet is to go to Babylon and Nineveh and take lots of measurement and photographs, and make that, it sounds like a great idea. Otherwise I found some sites that have some good pictures, and a couple 3d fly-throughs. http://www.arthistory.upenn.edu/smr04/101910/101910lecture5.html http://ccat.sas.upenn.edu/arth/asrnsrpl.html short fly-through I'm not sure were the full version is, or if you can get it online http://www.omnibusol.com/anegypt.html Alot of Links to Ancient Near East stuff. Of course there is always Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babylon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineveh
