- Read on-line forums and books about animation. Maya is a great animation software and I am sure there are tutorials included when purchasing the software. You can also take basic animations classes at some Community colleges to give you extra help without needing to buy expensive references. Good Luck!
- I animate for a living, its fun kinda. the thing is, you need to really just get used to spending countless hours in front of your computer. (having no life)You need to become really familiar with animation software. And start visiting websites related to cg, like 3dtotal.com cgtalk.com cgchannel.com highend 3d, etc. And go thru there tutorials and forums, they are extremely helpful. Also think small, the big jobs, like making movies, sounds exciting, but are super competitive, sometimes its better getting into a smaller studio, and learning from others. If you have the drive, talent and time, then you just need to stay focused and tackle a small goal at a time. Also an education really can help, there a way for you to find an internship, and possible job/s.
- First of all, what animation program are u using: 3ds max, Poser, Maya (the best 3d modeling and animation program in the world). You should begin with basic knowledge of modeling, move up to basic animation (keyframes, how bones work, how you attach Ik solvers) then after you master these move up to more advanced techniques...For expert modellers Maya is the best...Anyways there are a lot of tutorials on the net...just search
- Check out Cinema 4D (www.maxon.net). It really easy to learn (relative to the other packages out there). It's used by most post production studios, broadcast house, etc. There's also a great web site that teaches you how to use it - www.cineversity.com
