How to convert 2d drawings into 3d models?

I'm looking for software that can help me transform my drawings into 3d. I've searched for it all over the internet and message boards dealing with 3d, but it is mainly done by digital 3d artist. I'm a natural hand artist and it's been difficult. I'm at a loss. Can someone help me? It will be much appreciated.

1. well you can use 3d max or maya ( its betta to use 3d max if its not very high weighted model ) in case of 3d max you'll have to get 3 drawings of the model. 1 from front/back, 1 from side & 1 from top or bottom. Scan them & then edit it using 3d max as you'll have to play with volume & vertex in it.
