best 3d rendering gpu and motherboard?

ok im lookin to expand my computing power to do faster renderings..speed is my only concern..prolly will be runnin vista ul. 64x,4gigs ram...undecided cpu, dual raptor hds..will be runnin cinema 4d, realflow, and syflex. im thinkin of a 1500-2000 $ budget, theres a lot of controversy over whether the firegl, or quadro is faster and a good motherboard suggestion would be helpful also.

1. Go Mac or Linux - Windows is a waste of time. Mac or Linux will give you at least 16GB of RAM to play with.
