Where can I find true aircraft engineering drawings for my thesis ?
Everything is in the title. My thesis is about crashworthiness of a low wing single engine light aircraft. I just need rough estimate not the very refined details. The aim is the inertia constants of several components of the aircraft. Drawings, external surfaces wiht accurate dimensions, 3d CAD, a table of idividual inertia and CG position of main components (wing, engine, tail) would be fine also.... I have heard about a game, X-plane, that has accurate modelling of the outer surface, is it reliable for that ? I am ok for to do the study in partnership with a Company.

- There are many sites listed here. http://www.google.com.sg/search?hl=en&q=aircraft+drawings&btnG=Search&meta= You might also consider using a model plane kit which would also enable you to make the model for demonstration.
