What is a good cheap & easy alternative to CAD software?

1. carrara is awesome, and very affordable... you can get early versions at purplus dirt cheap, and then upgrade. version 3 i think is under 30 now... if you need something free, try wings3d

3. There are 'lite' versions of the more popular complete CAD programs such as Autocad. These are supposed to be pretty powerful but easier to use even by non-technical people.
