Safety of 3D ultra sounds?
I have always thought these were safe but so far two people have asked me about their safety since I mentioned that I am going for one on the 21st. They are so popular now so I just never really thought about it. Are they safe or is there really something to think about here?

- they aren't done any differently that a 2D scan its just a different type of 'wand' and computer analysing the image. Its just as safe so don't give it a second thought! Good luck for your scan!
- D ultrasound can furnish us with a 3 dimensional image of what we are scanning. The transducer takes a series of images, thin slices, of the subject, and the computer processes these images and presents them as a 3 dimensional image. Using computer controls, the operator can obtain views that might not be available using ordinary 2-D ultrasound scan. 3-dimensional ultrasound is quickly moving out of the research and development stages and is now widely employed in a clinical setting. It too, is very much in the News. Faster and more advanced commercial models are coming into the market. The scans requires special probes and software to accumulate and render the images, and the rendering time has been reduced from minutes to fractions of a seconds. And i have researched it and its mentioned that there are no problems or dangers detected so its safe and i have got a 3D ultrasound its really nice to be able to see your babys face clearly
- Everything that I can tell you about those is the fact that I agree w/ All answers above...and The fact that I love em more..and theyre awesome and do ROCK!!Cuz you can see more...of you beautiful Jacob!!,TakeCare..God Bless you and your family.., We over here love to hear from you and how things are goin..ty...thats awesome to hear..*hugzU*
- I know I have to answer this with a question. Why all these scans? why do people want to know the sex of their baby? A healthy baby no matter what sex is wellcome. Your are only pleasing science going through theese scans. We livedhappily without them not long ago.
