ultra sounds?
I was wondering if the 3d ultra sounds are expensive or can you get them done thru insurance?

- the cost varies depending on where you live. insurance does not cover them.
- If you are talking about going to the ultra sounds that can show you what your baby will look like when it comes, they arent too expensive, but depends on your spending amount. Also insurance wont cover it because its not a medical expense
- The only time insurance will pay for an ultrasound is if it is deemed medically necessary. I had a 3D u/s done, not "for fun", but to confirm my daughter's cleft lip/palate. Insurance covered it, since it was medically necessary. Keep in mind that if you do end up having one "for fun", the technicians at those "for fun" places aren't trained to look for anything. In other words, they cannot tell you if something is wrong.
- about a hundred bucks. but they are not worth it in my opinion, because my baby looked nothing like th pics. although I love that he yawned and it's now on a dvd.
- My doctor did one and it was covered my insurance. The whole ultrasound wasent 3D but they tried to get a few pics of his face in 3d
- hi there. I live in Canada where all of the pregnancy expenses are covered. I am not really sure how much it will cost, you can probably find out online or make an apointment with your doctor to find out. I only had 2 ultrasounds. Usually the first is done to make sure everything looks ok, and some women only have 1. Since my son was larger and a little late the docs thought it best to have a second one. If everything looks healthy and normal, I dont think there would be much need for a 3rd ultrasound, but you may want to check with your doctor and see what he/she recomends
- @ $100 most insurance companies will not pay for them..Unless there is serious concerns with your pregnancy..
- Insurance companies dont pay for these. It is out of pocket expence. There are different things that you can pay for. So it depends on what you want. Here in California I paid 100.00 for 30 minuts.
- iT DEPENDS WHAT HOSPiTAL OR CLiNiC, WHERE i GO THEY GiVE YOU 0NE FOR FREE AT AROUND 27 WEEKS, ALSO iF THERES SOME COMPLiCATiONS THEY MiGHt JUST DO A 3D ULTRASOUND AND U CAN REQUEST THE PiC FOR FREE. OTHERWiSE iNSURANCE DOES NOT COVER FOR iT, iTS REALLY NOT EXPENSiVE.
