When I watch 3D movies my eyes and head hurts, why?

I wear the 3D glasses over my glasses, and it feels like I'm having a hard time focusing and I get a headache after a while.

2. A 3D movie requires your eyes to fuse to separate images to form a 3D image. If you have any problems with your eyes working together (binocular vision) this may become manifest during a 3D movie where your eyes are forced to work together.
