Choppy Video card?

So I bought the game age of conan and after installing it I found out my video card would need to be upgraded. I went from a 256 to a 512 hd gaming card but I see no difference! I've installed all the latest drivers but no luck. I did download the 3d card stability test and it says my card is unstable and that I may need to reset bios for it to work properly. Does that sound like a solution to anyone else? I don't want to mess with my bios settings if I don't have to. Let me know

  1. i think i have a similar problem too. Try checking the power supply. Does it support your GPU needs? A high-end GPU cards may need more volts than the mainstream cards.
  2. Any graphics cards listed as 'HD' aren't really good at all for gaming. They're designed to play back high definition video and not much else. You will need a more powerful graphics card instead - the additional onboard memory is useless if the chip isn't powerful enough in the first place, and if you have enough RAM, 256MB more isn't going to make any difference anyway. Go for the nVidia 7, 8 or 9 series if you want good graphics.
