Is a Samsung DLP Slim 1080hd Tv Good?
I am looking to purchase this tv. I seen what I thought was a very good deal on it and the picture side-by-side to much more expensive tv looks the same quality. How much should i expect to pay for this? What is the 3d plug for. I've heard it has something to do with gaming? TV is 50inch

- Samsung Make Great tv's DLP's will last a long time and look good too. For a samsung 50inch, should look around to paying 8 or 900$ and no more. For the person below me, I have a 60 inch dlp, for over a year, I have never had to replace a bulb.
- no, never go with a dlp, heres why. you have to replace the bulb at least once a month. I reccomend the LG 42PC5D
- I just recently found out from a TV repairman that the TVs that are in the shop the most are the Samsung brand! Sharp or LG would be your best ones to buy.
- DLP's are awesome televisions and all these people that you have here are all wrong. You do not have to replace the bulb once a month. You can get a DLP with a bulb or with LED backlighting. Right now you can get either for about $1599.00 at circuit city. DLP are good but the only thing is that there good in dark rooms and also tend to lose some viewing the further off to the side of the TV you sit on. Other then that it really just depends on what type of light source that your trying to get with a bulb you can get about 4,000 to about 5,000 of life out of it and a LED about 20,000 but either way it goes if the light source dies and you replace it the TV looks fresh like you just bought it and i know this cause my dad has one. but here check this out if you have any questions. hit me up. Oh yeah and for the record every TV has its problems for that guy to say that a repair man has nothin but Samsungs in his shop, which tells me that he knows nothin as to what he is talkin about. all different kind of TVs are in a shop he is telling you to go with what he has so don't even hear it.
