3D - 2

Is it possible to turn your home entertainment center into a 3D entertainment center?

Is there a way to convert every movie you have in your collection to watch it in 3D

  1. Considering that even the simplest 3d displays are still a good 10 years from the market...I'll have to say "No."
  2. Since televisions and movies are inherantly a 2-D medium (the film negative and the video sensor are both flat viewing the scene from one angle) and 3-D requires stereo vision (two identical calibrated viewing apparatuses like film negatives or video sensors, each with its own lens), it is impossible for any device to change a 2-D medium into a 3-D medium. Display problems aside, the DVD doesn't start out in 3-D (nor does the capture phase) so it would be absolutely impossible.
  3. I'm skeptical about this. If you end up getting it, send me an email about what you think. I've never seen it in action myself. I'm guessing you'll probably end up with headaches. As it's been said, you can't get a true 3-d experience out of standard DVD or even an HD-DVD for that matter. Buy at your own risk. http://edimensional.com/product_info.php?products_id=39
