How do 3D glasses work?

Not the blue/red 3D glasses, but the newer kind. My mom and little sister went to see the Hannah Montana 3D concert thing at the movie theater, and they came back with 3D glasses that kind of look like ray-bans and both eyes of the glases are the same color, they are just tinted a bit, but they are mostly clear.

  1. At Disney World, Universal Studios and other 3D venues, the preferred method uses polarized lenses because they allow color viewing. Two synchronized projectors project two respective views onto the screen, each with a different polarization. The glasses allow only one of the images into each eye because they contain lenses with different polarization.
