how do you make 3D glasses?

how do you make 3D glasses? i dont have any of the pre-colored paper. ive already tried coloring overhead paper blue and read, and putting them in glasses lenses, but it didnt work. HELP!!!!!!!!

1. I read somewhere you could use a red binder divider and a blue one (not the paper kind). I'm not sure which color goes over which eye. Or if it even matters,lol
