What is the principal behind the 3D movies which we see in theatres ?
And why is it necessary to wear black googles while viewing the movie ?

- They're not black goggles. 3-D images are actually two images shown slightly beside each other in slightly different colours (that's why they look blurry without goggles). Your goggles have different-coloured lenses, so that one eye picks up one image and the other eye picks up the other, giving the impression of three-dimensionality. Older, less sophisticated 3-D goggles had one red and one blue lens.
