Why are so many Singaporeans hooked on Toto and 4D ?

1. They all just want to take the easy way out...

3. With such high cash amounts that entice, it is not surprising that people get hocked to it. Another thing is that people do have a "What if I win in the next round" mentally. after the 10th 11th 12th time of betting, they will continue to do so with a hope to get a windfall and recoup their losses once and for all. And for people who actually won, they will think "If I can strike it once, definitely I can strike it again." And there you see them queueing at the long meandering toto line again. They all sound familiar?
4. We want to get rich instantly. Plus the fact that many of us live on a meagre salary with just enough to pay bills. Naturally, we'd love some extra cash. We call it "buying hope".
