3D - 2

3d/4d scans?

Hi! I'm 30 weeks along right now with a baby girl. I am having a 3d/4d scan on 9/10. This question is more for the bigger ladies who have had 3d scans before, what were the results like as far as pictures and clarity wise? I mean, i get pretty good results from my regular ultrasound photos, but i'm a larger lady and i just want to make sure that i have a sporting chance that i'll get good pictures of the baby at this scan. Anyone?

1. If you get good pictures on a regular scan, a 4D scan will do just fine. The pictures are absolutely amazing, truly stunning.
2. i've heard results of a 3d or 4d is really clear..and u can see ur baby blinking and all.
3. I'm a plus-size gal and had great luck with the pictures from our 4d sonogram. We got the most awesome video of him yawning! I think the clarity is dependent upon how much amniotic fluid is around the face, and the baby's position, etc. I don't think weight of the mother is too much of a factor. I'm sure if you have good luck on normal ultrasound, you will do just fine. Good luck!! I hope you get great pictures!
4. My friend had these with her now 3 month old baby girl. They are SO amazing! Her daughter really did come out looking like the pictures. You could even see her tiny dimples in the pics....exciting, huh?
