my cousin has -4D?

shes constantly wearing her glasses and feels quite helpless without them,she even has glasses on whilst swimming could her strong prescription result to blindness one day?

1. no, not by itself, she just needs glasses
2. I highly doubt it. When I was a kid, my eyes got worse really quickly, and I was so afraid that I would go blind by the time I was 18. Luckily though, my prescription stablized eventually, and now my prescription has been pretty much the same for years (I'm 25). And I'm not blind! :)
3. Blindness is caused by trauma or disease. her myopia may get worse yet if she is young, but she won't go blind from it.
