protein in urine...high but not too high???
34w 4d with twins. doctor ordered a 24 hour urine collection to rule out pre eclampsia because i was seeing white flashy spots. got the results and they said my level was 202 mg/day and they dont worry unless it is > 300 mg/day. but when i looked it up normal is < 150 mg/day...so why is mine high? im not worried about pre eclampsia anymore because i do trust my doctor but i dont understand why it would be high.

- Mine is the same and I have toxemia and am now on bed rest.It will go up and down until you give birth.I think you should be fine though cuz you are closer to giving birth than me.The should be seeing you weekly though because you have twins and you have protein in your urine now. They should monitor your blood pressure as well. You may just have toxemia like me and its just the beginning of preeclampsia. There isn't anything to really worry about because like I said you are closer to your due date unlike me.Good luck.
- Its higher cause you have twins..your good!
- are you drinking enough water??? put your feet up, get comfy, and sip on some water... it could be a little higher too, if you're taking your tests in the morning, you've been peeing all night maybe and then don't have enough time to hydrate by the time of your appt? that was my case at least. congratulations! :)
- could be your carring twins.. they told me i already have protein in my urine before i got pregnant they said it will be higher now with me being pregnant with twins.. goodluck
- I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago. I had to do the 24 hour thing and it was a pain. They wanted to make sure my kidneys are functioning properly. I'm diabetic so that was a worry. My results came back and they said everything is fine and my kidneys are working as they should. My doctor said normal was below 150 but mine was around 250. That sounds super high and it freaked me out but when that shocked look came over my face he said it sounds high, but that's not that bad. He said I may not be drinking enough water to filter everything out. But he said my test didn't pose any concern to him and I shoud be fine.
- Im 35 wks and am spilling protein too, blood pressure ok, no swelling or headaches. protein needs to be alongside other symptoms to be a problem. Stop looking for trouble!
