How much did your 3D or 4D ultrasound look like your baby when it was born?
I am 34 weeks today and had a 3D / 4D ultrasound done, I can't believe the detail! They are such great pics, just wondering how much I can expect it to look like the bub when it's born? Actually "anonymous", perhaps you should do some research before you answer next time: The term “4D ultrasound” refers to four dimensional ultrasound, the fourth dimension being motion (time). Ultrasound using 4D technology essentially shows moving 3D images (like a video).

- There are no 4D ultrasounds. Think about it... how can ultrasound capture information in 4 dimensions?
- Not much at all. In the ultrasound picture her nose was all squashed and she looked like one cheek was much fatter than the other. I think she looked so ugly that at the time I kind of wished I hadn't seen it. When she was born (3 weeks later) she was beautiful and looked nothing like the ultrasound.
- i think they are pretty close my daughter was a bit chubbier when born but you can definitely see that its her if you look back at the ultrasound
- well, this might sound strange to you but the one baby I had never would look right at the camera and would always look away but the second one would always stare right into the camera and her eyes were open-I have two girls-and it was amazing to see that in ultrasound. cos of complications had to have 3 ultrasounds with 2nd one and always she was steady stareing like that and then right when she was born she came out not with her eyes closed or slit but her eyes were real wide open and she looked around at all the doctors-there were 6 of them in there cos of complications-but it was still a vaginal birth. I couldn't believe it was the same look she always gave the camera during ultrasound and then her eyes so wide when she was born and steady starring at everyone but my first one just slept as soon as she came out. ha ha. and she only had one ultrasound and never looked right at the camera that way or had wide eyes even in the womb!!!!
- i thought it really looked like my son.
