are there any risks involved when perfoming a 3d/4d ultrasound?
i am curious to know if there is any type of risk or harm that might come to the baby while preforming a 3d/4d ultrasound? my husband and i would love to have one but we are not sure how safe it is.

- There are studies that say that the high frequency noise aggrivates the baby. I would believe it as my guy made me very crampy after all my medically necessary ultrasounds. Working in the medical imaging field, I believe that ultrasound is a diagnostic test, not a game, so only got what was necessary.
- it is safe go for it..
- I had a TON of ultrasounds during my last pregnancy because I worried about having another miscarriage and never had any problems or complications because of them.
- they are pretty safe that is why you get them done while being preg.-kristy
- The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists do not recommend ultrasounds for non medical purposes. I have also read some research articles that suggest there may be a link between ultrasound use and autism, even though there is no definitive link at this time. I did not have any US with my three daughters and my daughter, who is 26 weeks, does not plan on having one unless there's a medical indication for one.
