is it scary to do a 4d ultrasound at 13 weeks only?

im thinking about doing a 4d, but im only 13 weeks, i have googled other people's 4d scans, and the baby's face is not fully formed yet, im scarted this will freak me out/lead me to believe the baby might be deformed or something... your views?

1. a friend of mine did @ 14 weeks, but if you are going to pay the money for it you should wait until after 20 weeks, they all suggest that that is the best time for it!
2. if you are worried about it then wait to get the 4d done until around 20 weeks.... that way you have no reason to think you are having a deformed baby.
3. Then don't do it. Besides, they are very expensive, why would you want to pay for a 4d ultrasound now? Wait till you are at about 5 or 6 months and you will be able to see your baby as a baby. I think it will be a waist of money if you do it now.
4. I wouldn't do it then. I did a regular one at 19 weeks and that was great. I am going to do a 3d/4d one at 27 weeks. At 13 weeks you are going to pay a lot and not see much. Furthermore, I believe that you should get the anatomy scan first (the medical one) so they can tell you there are no deformities. Otherwise, you will just be worrying yourself when everything is most likely just fine.
5. If it is worrying you then dont do it.
6. I doubt that you will be scared. There is just something different about your own baby. Every view I had of my son was wonderful, even when he looked like a weird peanut. If you are that worried, why not wait a few more weeks. You have plenty of time before the baby is born.
7. If your insurance doesn't pay for this ultrasound and you desire to have a 4D I would wait until the end it is more fun to see the crappy original ultrasounds. Also it will leave you in anticipation on what he or she looks like. Congrats on the baby you'll be a great mommy!
8. I have never had one but think that it would be awesome.i say go for it.
9. I've read that you should wait until you are at least 24 weeks before getting those done. At 13 weeks your baby doesn't even have facial features yet!! Her/his body isn't fully developed. It's not worth the money to get it done in my opinion.
10. I had a 4D at 19 1/2 weeks and the baby still looked kinda skeletal so at 13 weeks the baby would be really tiny. We are having another one done at 31 weeks and I can't wait.
