how much better is a 4d ultrasound?

Can a 3d or 4d ultrasound tell you sooner about the babies sex? or do i have to wait till im 5 months?

1. we used only 2d echo and found out my baby's gender in 4 months... plus ultra sound is not advisable for babies, it could damage their brain cells/development... believe me, 2d echo would do just fine...
2. You should be able to find out the baby's sex at the standard 20 week ultrasound, earlier if you have it earlier. We had 2 3D/4D ultrasounds and they were not recommended that early. I think we had one at 24 weeks and one at 32 weeks. The pictures and video were incredible and they are completely safe.
