If you had a 3D/4D ultrasound done, was the picture clear enough to show exactly what they looked like?
In a magazine I saw a 3D/4D picture of a baby's face and then a picture of the same baby after it was born and it looked exactly the same. Is that really how good they are at showing what the baby will look like or do they do computer stuff for the ads? The place that I'm going to have it done in July is an actual Maternal-Fetal Medicine place that have professionals.

- You know, that's exactly what I'd like to know to. My husband and I want to try the 4D ultrasound too but we're not sure if it'll be worth spending $ for if it's not clear. On T.V. it doesn't look that great though so I'm doubtful.
- yes!! i love my pictures. my baby looks more like his daddy. he only got my nose! those pictures were worth the money!!
- i have seen them and they are amazing!! but i dont know if they look the "exact same" but its amazing how clear you see the baby its like you are looking at the baby its crazy if you have a chance get one done!!
- i got to do one for free that was a gift from my ob office and i was 30 weeks and my stubborn daughter had her hands up on her face so i only got to see half the face but it will be a suprise when she comes out to see what she looks like oh i am so excited congrats and good luck
- Yes, my daughter looked just like our 4d ultrasound. It was really neat. They gave us a ton of pictures and a video of the ultrasound which I think will be neat for her to see when she's a little older. It's also nice because we had our whole family there for the ultrasound so they could see their first grandchild/niece for the first time. Everyone was in tears (happy ones though).
- I had two done and both times she covered her face and wouldn't let us see anything. Her hands, feet, and ears were very clear though!
- Unfortunately, no I didn't get a good 3D/4D shot. I kept getting sent to a high risk doctor for my ultrasounds to make sure the baby was growing properly so my regular OB who had the 3D machine wouldn't do an ultrasound because insurance wouldn't pay for it to be done twice since I already was getting them at the high risk place. Well finally, right at the end when I was 38 weeks pregnant something came up and the regular OB did the ultrasound and they tried to do 3D then but the baby was so big you can't really tell anything. I think the only thing I could see good on my 3D shot is a foot!!
- i havent seen the ad that your talking about, but my friend had one (im going to the same place, ive been really impressed by thier dedication and work with this 3d ultrasound technique) Well she had hers at 33 weeks. The baby, SERIOUSLY, is identical, they have a framed picture (that the hospital took at birth) and the 3d side by side above thier tv. Its nuts. Uncanny, i always thought that the 3ds were kinda creepy looking until i saw thiers, its better to do it slightly later, like 27-34 weeks so you get a good shot. All the others ones i saw were pretty early, so the baby still grew a lot. Once they start putting on a little fat though i think they give you a good idea. Im doing mine at 30 weeks so im still a LITTLE suprised when he comes out!! good luck!!
