Is it possible to find the detailed dimensions of fighter (Mirage) aircraft online for a 3D modelling project?
We have a 3D Solid Edge modelling college project for this semester, and need detailed dimensions to produce the aircraft in 3D. We have a 3D Solid Edge modelling college project for this semester, and need detailed dimensions to produce the aircraft in 3D. We need dimensions stated explicitly, because it'll be almost impossible to measure the surface curvatures from 2D drawings. Even slight errors in measured values would result in the different parts not fitting with each other in the final model.

- Yes, you can you just have to figure how much did they scale down the model. See each model has a scale ratio on it. Once you find the scale ratio I you have to due is go to ASK.com to find the formula to reverse the scale ratio to get the actual dimension.
- You can get CAD model files all over the net. Why not use one of those? If you want to build one people have plans etc. all over as well. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352329&page=3 Good luck
