Can you watch Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D with 3D glasses in any theater? Or need special equip?

There is a very small theatre in Manteo NC that ran Journey to the Center of the Earth tonight, and parts looked blurry, and I thought if I go buy some 3-D glasses I may go back to see it again, but scared I may waste my money if it dont work. They DO NOT have special equipment...just basic projector, so is the movie automatically filmed in 3D? Viewable anywhere with glasses?

1. The film print has to be the 3D version for you to see it that way. It is the combination of the film AND the glasses that give the 3D effect.
