1. I am partial to a drawing program called Xara. The company also makes several add-on products and one of them is a ready-made product to make screensavers. But, in general, screensavers are usually accomplished with primitive software languages like OpenGL so as to not burden the resources of the computer. Displaying a video during a computer time-out might take a lot of RAM.
