Has anybody heard anything about 3D TV?

1. It's supposed to be a reality within the next 5 years.Scientists have at last started to catch up with the 3D holographic displays that became common in science fiction films. Just as a moving picture is actually a series of stills shown in quick succession, so a moving hologram would be a series of still holograms to fool the brain. A foot sized screen is under development, and two colour versions already exist. it will be 8-10 years until they achieve a satisfactory true 3D display prototype though
