Do doctors ever give a 3d ultrasound or do you have to buy one?
will my gender determination one be in 3d or is it usually just regular, just wondering. so if you have pregnancy medicaid do you have to go out and get one and charge it or does your doctor offer it to you.

- I'm on Medicaid, but I got 3 3D ones and 4 regular ones all for free, it was probably included in the doctor bill. They are AMAZING, if you have the option, get it, even for a little extra, looking at the black and whites compared to the 3D, you can see so much much, my baby was at 13 weeks and I could see all the individual toes AND fingers already.
- At the radiology facility they only do 2d. The 3D and 4D are done at your own convenience.
- Normal one. If you want a fancy ultrasound that is a cash payment.
- Depends, if they have a machine that does 3D, you might get a few snaps for free.
- you will have to buy the 3d ones they will tell you the gender with a regular one at the doctor's office. My wife and I got the 3d ultrasound and If i could have done it all over again i would have saved that $160 I don't think it was worth it.
- Usually they can determine the gender with just a regular ultrasound. I'm not really sure if 3d is extra or if medicaid covers it. My doctor delivered me when i was born, so he gives me 3d ultrasounds for free. :)
- They sometimes give you a 3D when you find out what your baby is, and then later on when your like 7-8 months you should get another ultrasound and it'll be in 3d and 4d, that's how it is at my doctor's. And you can tell what your baby will look like, with my second lil girl they did a 3d-4d around 7-8 months and she looked just like the ultrasound.=)
- It depends if your doctor/hospital has that technology. Our ultrasound technician could do that, and we got 3D pics for all of our ultrasounds, no extra charge. Otherwise, we would have gone to one of the centers that do 3D/4D pics for a fee.
