Can any one tell me where to find a 3D Studio Max tutorial for a solar or lunar eclipse?

I can't find a tutorial for this any where

  1. These are a few eclipse sites that I have saved in my favorites. I hope that one of these will help you. http://www.mreclipse.com/ http://www.eclipse2017.org/ http://spaceweather.com/swpod2007/21aug07/koehn1.gif http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse.html
  2. it should be very simple. sphere in the middle. center it to the grid sphere twice the size or more, then 5 grid units up (y axis)... centered again group them, relocate axis pivot in the center of the larger circle. close group place an omni light the same distance of grid units ("down" on the y axis) (I'll show this in the x axis, just rotate 90 degrees L ----- o ----- O the O is where the axis should be moved to o ----- O are grouped. turn shadows on --- use shadow map (I think) turn on key frames (add frames for more time, slower rotation) rotate the sphere group around its new axis you made go to dope sheet (its not dope sheet, its the other option) then straighted those brazeir curve handles to smooth the acceleration and deacceleration for the rotation go to perspective viewport and render. your main points you can find in other tutorials omni lights and shadows. key frame animation grouping relocating axis pivot texturing? thats a whole different story all this is just off the top of my head without looking at the interface... I really need to install 3d studio back onto my computer now that I think about it.
