1. Pro Engineer is used by more companies for 3D product design. AutoCAD by itself is mainly a 2D drafting platform used by architects, civil and industrial engineers, etc. Autodesk has entered into the 3D market with Mechanical Desktop, then Inventor, but these products are not as strong feature wise.
