Does anyone know a good way to convert Maya 8 renderings into jpegs?

I have a class, and I've been trying to figure out how to convert maya files (asc or mb) into jpegs. My teacher says they have to be in jpeg format. Is there a trick to it?

1. You could try the old "Shift+PrtScn" (screenshot) then open it in Photoshop and save as a jpg. I think that would work. I use that to save lots of images, although I have never used Maya. Print Screen just takes whatever happens to be on the monitor.
