Best Profesional Free 3d Animation Software?

What is the best professional free 3d animation software. I want to go into 3d modeling and animation and i want to know what the professionals from the movies, television and video games use. Also if there is a tutorial that goes with it , that would be great.

2. Panda3D (http://panda3d.org/) is a great 3D engine. Requires knowledge of Python to interact with it. The Walt Disney Company uses it for a few of their attractions and Pirates of the Caribbean Online (game). As for pro modeling tools, you will want to check out Maya and 3D Studio Max.
