Here are all the specs Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz, 1333FSB (Dual Core) 6000K Cooler Master HyperTX Intel EXTRA QUIET Vertical HeatPipe Copper fan Biostar P43D2-A7 P35, 1600FSB, PCI Express, Sound, 1Gb LAN 4GB (2x2GB) PC5300 DDR2 667 Dual Channel GeForce 8500GT 512Mb PCI EXpress 16X dual head, tv out 250.0GB Western Digital 7200RPM SATA2 UDMA 300 8m cache Samsung 20x DVD Recorder Dual Layer +R/RW -R/RW AC 97 3D Full Duplex sound card (onboard) Realtek 10/100/1000 Ethernet Network card PCI Nikao Black Neon ATX Case w/side window & front USB Dual Case Fans 80 mm DC fan (two fans) Okia 500W ATX Power Supply Microsoft Windows XP Home CD I was hoping that this would take care of most Games On Medium to high settings with little problems. I am also playing this computer when it arrives on a 22" Acer Monitor. Any suggestions to a different monitor? Do you guys think that it will play Warhammer,WOW,and Fps Games smoothly? Thanks in advance!! hey guys thanks for the info but ya the Fps game i was talking about would be Counter strike. Will it run CS smoothly??? Thanks so your saying that the graphics Card Geforce 8500 wont even run the game. I know im going out on a limb here but on the Warhammer website it says it supports it so i am thinking it will work but not top of the line.

  1. Warhammer and WoW will be fine since they''re MMORPGS and they are not exactly GPU stressing games. FPS games if they're recent are going to be an issue with a 8500GT you'll be hovering around the low-medium range.
  2. if you are intense hardcore player change your OS to windows xp game edition ^^
  3. Everything looks fairly decent except the video card. For only $50.00 you can get the next step up an Nvidia 8600 GT which has better specs/performance at Newegg.com. Realistically, I'd go for the (Diamond brand) ATI Radeon HD 3870 O.C. for around $100 which would give you WAAAAAY better performance and able to be good for newer and future games.
  4. comparing to the rest of the pc the video card is the only problem. It is the single most important thing in a pc.And the geforce 8500gt is a very weak card.It will not play warhammer wow and any new games smoothly. The rest of the pc is excellent.Just change the card to a 9600gt and you will play latest games on high settings.Costs only 100$.Or what greg b said the 3870 is about the same or even better here's a card hierarchy http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-geforce-graphics,2086-7.html the xp home is perfect, don't bother going to any game edition. It's not necessary and don't think improves speed too much.. you really got to change it.You won't be hovering around the low-medium range settings.Games won't work at all.
  5. you pretty good but the ram speed is really low. if your on a budget look at a 800-900 MHz ram and possibly a new vid card.
  6. You will only utilize 3.5 gb of memory without a 64-bit operating system. Also you are building a new computer and putting xp in it? You will want to run a vista 64 bit os to fully utilize the 4gb of memory. Don't listen to the vista is bad stuff. I almost made a huge mistake by not getting it. Besides xp is no longer supported after 2010 which means you will have to upgrade. Other than the OS and unused memory issues this is a great computer and will run those games smoothly. Good call on getting a heat sink for the CPU. I'm running the same cpu and the heat sink on that one is junk. It looks like all the other intel CPU heatsinks but some reason this one won't cool your CPU. I figured everyone was installing it wrong, but when it didn't work for me I decided that hundreds of reviews saying it was junk couldn't be wrong. Nice rig!!
  7. OK you got braggin rights for a day. Have fun w/a hell of a computer. Why not Vista? 64 bit? I use it and it works fine.
