What is a 3d ready tv?

I was looking in best buy and a tv said it was 3d ready.

3. The tv can display 3 D image. from you PC, if you PC photo with 3D. ( subject to software ). the tv will come with VGA in-put. connect you PC to TV VGA.those tv with out 3D, even from you PC is 3D image, there just display normal.
