3D - 2

How can I turn my digital video into a 3D video?

I have digital video, I used my camera and then uploaded the video files into my computer. Is there a way or a program that will let me turn the entire video into 3D? Kind of like anaglyphs, where you have two separate images of the same thing of which they are percieved as one when you put on the 3D glasses? I have the 3D glasses already. I just need to know how to make the video 3D. Thanks!

  1. In order to make a video "3D", the screen is just displaying images from two different angles. You need to use a special camera (basically just two cameras next to each other) to record in a way that can be turned into anaglyph 3D video. You can't do it with a normal camera, because the computer can't know how deep different objects are. So sorry, it's pretty much impossible.
  2. You can make a splitter (with a couple of front-surface mirrors ans a frame to hold them) to put two images, from a normal human IP (interpupilary) distance, on the film. (We used to do it with 35mm cameras.) Then you'd need some process to display them with opposite polarization.
