3D/4D Ultrasound- What week was "best" to schedule?

My husband and I have decided to do the 3d/4d ultrasound. The tech recommends week 26 as far as the babies Development. My questions is for those who have had it done, especially those who have done it with more than 1 pregnancy- what week was the best as far as pictures and movement etc? Thanks in advance for a lot of great answers!!! Thank you everyone for all the great answers! :)

1. I just know that you dont want to do it too far along becuase it is harder to see the baby since they are so big.
2. more definition usually gives you a better picture of what's going on in there, congrats and good luck I'd go with 4d
3. we did 4D at 34 weeks and it was amazing, of course i had a 10.5lb baby so he was huge at 34 weeks, good luck
4. the further you are into your pregnancy, the better as for seeing more facial and body definition. i did my 3d/4d ultra sound at 30 weeks which was reccomened by the person i booked my appointment with. and i am glad we did that. we could see everything so perfectly and when our baby was born, he really did look how he did at the ultra sound! it was amazing!!!
5. 25 weeks is the earliest you could probably do it but about 28 weeks is the best gestation. You can do it up to 32 weeks but no bigger because then the baby is too big and can't move around enough to get a good look at her face. In case her legs or feet are in her face. I had mine done 2 days before 28 weeks and they turned out great! I saw her face and we were still able to bump her around a bit so she would stop sucking her fingers and covering her face with her arm or hand. It was amazing!
6. Week 26 even earlier is perfect I went at 34 and my chubbin was already too big to really see she was head down with her face in my placenta the tech could not move her because she had little room

8. I had mine done at 19 weeks and they were not very detailed just because my daughter wasn't as developed now at 32 weeks. We could still tell she was a girl but I would probably have waited longer if I had known that the pictures weren't going to be so great. I really just wanted to see her and see how she was doing though. I would have waited till around week 24-26 though. Good luck!

10. I had mine done at 30 weeks. He moved around, yawned, sucked his thumb... It was amazing!!! I have the DVD and a whole bunch of pics.. Here's one of the pics... http://i41.tinypic.com/iz9sur.jpg And my avatar is what he looks like now at almost 15 months.
11. I had my done at 30 weeks and it was soo precious. I could see plenty and she was yawning and making grumpy faces and she actually smiled and we have it all on DVD. They told me to drink a soda about 30 minutes before I went in for my ultrasound and my baby was crazy active.
