What should I expect to see at a 4d ultrasound a 17w2d?

For Valentine's day my hubby is taking us to see the baby in 4d. At that time we will be 17 wks 2 dys. What should we expect to see? We are so excited!!

2. It depends on two factors: 1) The level of experience the ultrasound tech has. 2) Your baby's position and activity level. You shouldn't go in with high expectations, because it often leads to disappointment. Thats what happened on our first trip -- we saw zilch. Our son (unidentified as such at the time) was hiding his face and his gender. Fortunately, we were allowed to come back a 2nd time at no additional cost. Whatever happens, it's still exciting to see the baby as something more than a blob amongst a bunch of liquid waves of (what looks like) television static, but even if your baby isn't being shy, based on my wife's and my experience (we went on two occasions) there are only a few brief instances amonst the two hours, where we could get a good view of our baby. Those brief moments were well worth it, in my opinion. The best few moments of those two hours is in the video (GIF) below. This video was taken at about 20 weeks. You can see him licking or suckling on the amniotic wall. He is two and a half years old now.
